But the smock has to go somewhere. Why not to a Ferrari 308 engine?

DDino friend Enzo (yes, that's his real name and no, we don't think he was baptized that way by accident) discovered this engine.

Every now and then such engines appear on the market, but what makes this one special, is that it is probably new.

Motor 308

The engine came with the rack and an info plate. So it looks like it was from a collection or museum.

What is also striking:
  • we don't find any dismantling traces, as usually found on cylinder heads for example.
  • we find no traces of installation in a car.
  • the transmission has no noticeable wear on the wear parts.

  • The oil looks new.
  • The honing of the liners looks new with the endoscope.
  • Only on the pistons are combustion residues, but this could be from a test run at the Ferrari factory.

So maybe it is an engine that was made as a spare part at the time.
In any case, we are happy to now have a place for the smock.

If for the same reason, or any other, you would like to have it, it is best to contact us by phone or mail.
