Repair Ducellier Window Switch
From time to time we face the problem that the Dino 2000 Coupé's Ducellier window switches are malfunctioning. Replacements are rare and/or expensive. The malfunctioning of the switches usually caused by burned contacts, which can easily be repaired. Here is how you can fix it yourself.
1. Push in retention lug by using a screwdriver and pull switch mechanism out of the housing:
2. Push bolt out of the compensator.
3. Below, you can see both parts separated.
4. Loosen the screw underneath.
5. Here, you can see the reason of the malfunctioning. The burned electrical contact points.
6. Clean the electrical contacts by using a rotary tool and a tiny brass wire brush. A few seconds should be enough.
7. Below, you can see the cleaned electrical contact points.
8. The assembling now has to be done in the opposite order. The only fiddly step is t threading in the spring of the
compensator, but it you will get it done.
9. These lugs have the retention lugs, which are pushed in in step 1. They do not only hold the window regulator switch in
the vehicle but they also hold the switch mechanism in the enclosure/case.
Firstly, when assembling, they are layed loosely in, then push the mechnism into the enclosure/case and then push the
lugs in.
10. That's all. Before finally installing the window regulator, it should be checked by using a multimeter.
I need two of the Ducellier window switch clips only. My switch is good, just no clips. Can you help?
