The cylinder heads of a Ferrari 308 often are difficult to pull off.
Damaged surfaces on head and block witness of wedges that have been smashed in to loosen the heads.
This puller can be a great help. One of our clients was kind enough to provide the bolt pattern. We made the 3D-Model for the laser guys to cut the aluminum.
And here the finished product:
Fixed to the bolts for cam shaft bearings and valve covers you put load on the cylinder head bolts to pull the heads off.
Please note:
the bolts for cam shaft bearings and valve covers, or better the threads in the heads have not been designed to take very high load. Thus it is mandatory to tighten the bolts gently, evenly and not to violent.
